I'm not picky. I just like what I like. Any road trip we stop at a gas station and my husband of 13 1/2 years asks me what kind of water I want. Not that I expect him to remember, but I do. I can tell him exactly what I want and inevitably he will come out with something else. I even give him options in case the gas station doesn't carry one of them.
Evian or Absopure, he comes out with Dasani. Evian or Fuji he comes out with Ice Mountain. He gets "the look". He always has a good excuse- they didn't have the kind you want. (Mm-hmm..it's hard to believe that.) When the guy who can't see the grapes I just bought in the fridge says he couldn't find the water bottle I want, I have to wonder if I should just go look for myself.
I have taken it upon myself to just go in and grab my own water. It's like doing the laundry- I could let you do it but I like when my delicates are air dried and not thrown into the dryer to be ruined. I could let you get groceries but you grab low sodium tomato juice instead of regular.
Today we were getting gas and Paul once again asks, What kind of water do you want? I say, I can just run in, it's no big deal.
"I have to go in anyway to pay." Oh. Evian or Absopure please.
A few minutes later.. He comes back out with 2 Absopures. I was thrilled. He, of course, had to discourse on how they never have the kind of waters I want. And he was about to call me to find out what he could substitute when in a little back corner there were 3 of the ones I like. They never have Evian, nobody carries that kind.
So either he has become more observant or gas stations magically started carrying a brand I like.
