No matter the denomination, we, as Christians take this time of year to celebrate. We look at the events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, taking the time to ponder what it means to us individually. How our sins and sicknesses were carried by Jesus, how he was bruised for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Jesus, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5). How Jesus became our intercessor, bridging the gap between us and the most Holy God. How the blood of Christ can cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! (Hebrews 9:14) Meditate on how when you were dead in your sins (hopeless) God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having cancelled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us; He took it away, nailing it to the cross. AND having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 2:13-15)
Finally realize that when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, we were raised with HIM! (Colossians 3:1) The scriptures are full of beautiful truths to those who believe. Realize that today is a new day, Christ is in you, the hope of glory. It's time we praise Him for who He is and what He has accomplished for each and every person on this earth. He Is Risen!! Happy Easter!!
